You Farm was established in 2015 as a concept Farm were YOU come to grow your own fruits and vegetables. Our vision was to utilize much of the unused common areas in South Florida and create communal garden plots that each family would be responsible to maintain. So much of our land is being developed leaving us with less farms, poor food quality and high food cost. The average gated community in South Florida has 2 to 3 acres of unused and under utilized land prime for food production. Imagine communities coming together to create gardens that would produce fresh organic produce right in their backyards. Not only would it bring communities and families together it would create an environment were families could trade and barter produce in community wide harvest festivals. Imagine if 5, 10, 20, 100 communities participated, how much we could produce by simply working together. Making this vision a reality however is not easy. Creating awareness with local Communities, Governments, and Developers starts with YOU. In April 2016 we purchased our first 5 acre Farm located in beautiful Loxahatchee FL to be the example of our local community. We developed our farm to incorporate communal garden plots and begin working directly with families to create a healthy environment, produce amazing products and start our pursuit in bringing the You Farm concept to local communities.
